Are your NFTs still online?

Paste a collection's contract address. We check whether its metadata and images still load for apps, and which ones depend on ipfs.io, dweb.link or gateways that have shut down.

Why NFT images break

  • ipfs.io and dweb.link stopped serving apps on September 21, 2026. Any metadata or image URI that hardcodes them fails for marketplaces, bots and servers. What changed
  • Gateways shut down: Cloudflare's IPFS gateway and Fleek are gone, and w3s.link and nftstorage.link now redirect to gateways that block apps.
  • Nobody pins the files anymore. When a project stops paying its pinning service, the content disappears from IPFS. Storacha closed and Fleek hosting ended, leaving many collections without a pin.

FAQ

What does the NFT checker test?

It reads up to 25 tokens spread across the collection straight from the contract, then loads each token's metadata and image the way a marketplace or wallet would. It checks whether the files are still on the IPFS network and whether the URIs depend on a gateway that no longer serves apps.

Why do my NFT images not load anymore?

The most common reason in 2026: the metadata or image URIs hardcode https://ipfs.io/ipfs/ or dweb.link, which only serve browsers since September 21, 2026. Other causes are gateways that shut down (Cloudflare's, Fleek's, w3s.link, nftstorage.link) or files nobody pins anymore.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Yes, it is free and needs no account or wallet. Paste a contract address and pick the chain. Results are cached for an hour, so shared links load instantly.

Which chains and standards are supported?

Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Zora, ApeChain, BNB Chain and Avalanche, for ERC-721 and ERC-1155 collections. Solana is planned. Metadata can be on IPFS, Arweave, a regular web server or fully on-chain.

How do I fix an at-risk or broken collection?

Pin the collection's CIDs on a pinning service you trust so they stay online, and load them from a gateway that serves apps. With Octopin you can import the existing CIDs in one step (same CIDs, nothing on-chain changes). If the contract hardcodes a dead gateway URL, the owner may also need to update the base URI.
